Maggie, Negan (and Lucille) are back in creepy Dead City 2 teaser

Season 2 of The Walking Dead spin-off will be revealed at Comic-Con 2024.

More than ten years after the first panel of The Walking Dead At San Diego Comic-Con, AMC executives took advantage of the event, which took place this weekend, to unveil the first teaser from season 2 of Dead City. Launched a year after the end of the parent series, somewhere between Fear the Walking Dead, World Beyond, Tales of the Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon And The Ones Who Live, Dead City is one of the many spin-offs of the zombie series.

Like the first season, this second part is dedicated to the characters of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in a post-apocalyptic and anarchic Manhattan. In the first images revealed, the emphasis is mainly on the return to the foreground of Lucille, her baseball bat set with barbed wire. A detail that suggests the return of a version “Maleficent” Negan's, as well as his funeral whistle and his very particular haircut.

At the same time, it seems that this about-face by Negan plunges Maggie into doubt. The character finds herself forced to stay in a city where the populations seem to indulge in the most bizarre experiments. “I know what it means to go back to Manhattan. It cost me a lot. Almost everything.”says the one who has nevertheless seen some green and unripe things since her first appearance in season 2 of The Walking Dead.

A male interlocutor thus confronts her with her moral dilemma: “You used to want Negan dead. Now you want to save his life.”. “Now it’s different,” Maggie replies. Will she try to save Negan from himself?

Answer next year, according to a trailer that does not indicate the precise release date of this second zombie part. In terms of casting, new characters make their appearance, played by Dasha Polanco, Pooya Mohseni, Kim Coates, Jack Weary or Keir Gilchrist.
