Police say Secret Service agents noticed the muzzle of the gun sticking out from shrubs roughly 400 yards from where Trump stood. While former presidents and their spouses receive Secret Service protection for life, Trump has received a higher level of protection because of his high profile and reelection campaign.The Congressional Task Force investigating Trump’s first assassination attempt requested a briefing with the Secret Service, who will brief Trump on the incident Monday.It is not clear how this latest attempt will impact Trump’s campaign. He is scheduled to speak from his home in Florida about launching a new cryptocurrency and is set to attend rallies in Michigan, New York and North Carolina this week.
