Pop icon Lady Gaga's father is backing former President Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

“I support Donald Trump. I support his policies,” Joe Germanotta said on “Fox & Friends” Thursday.

The restaurant owner's announcement comes days after the second assassination attempt on Trump, as the election remains tied.

“They're two very different people. One is pure and patriotic. The other is just going to say what he has to say to get elected. That's basically what I hear, and I'm tired of hearing about his neighbor's lawn,” he said.

The showdown between Vice President Kamala Harris and Trump remains a race on the margin of error in the seven crucial swing states that determined Biden's victory over Trump in 2020 and will likely determine the winner of the 2024 election.

However, a recent Fox News poll found Harris leading Trump by two points in a head-to-head race.

Despite a three-percentage-point shift since mid-August, Trump still retains voters' favorability as to who they trust to handle the most important issues.

On the economy, voters preferred Trump to Harris by five points.

“Six years ago, I was going to have the best year we ever had at Joanne before COVID. And when I say best year, it was 25% better than any other year,” Germanotta said.

Immigration and public safety are among the other top election issues on which voters prefer the former president over Harris.

According to a Fox News poll, 50% of voters trust Trump to make the country safer and 54% support him on immigration.

“It’s an invasion in my opinion,” Germanotta said, referring to the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies.

“We no longer have secure borders. There is no longer legal immigration. My clientele, my customers, those who used to come once a week, now come once every three weeks. They don't come to New York anymore.”

A New York restaurant owner said his decision to support the former president was ultimately about politics, not personalities.

“The real bottom line is I don't vote for people. I mean, look, Donald, he's aggressive. But he's a patriot and his policies are there. I like them anyway. I'm for low gas prices, low food prices, low interest rates, pro-police, good economy, pro-police… law and order… keeping jobs here in the United States.”
