Josh Brolin said no, he said yes.

The Lantern Corps have finally managed to recruit! HBO's Green Lantern series has found its first member: it will be Kyle Chandler, according to the American press!

The American actor revealed in Tomorrow in the headlines is not really a superstar (we saw it in the series Friday Night Lights, Bloodline or the saga Godzilla at the cinema), but he said yes, while Josh Brolin (Marvel's Thanos) turned down the offer a few days ago. The names ofEwan McGregorof Timothy Olyphant or even Chris Pine were also mentioned on the short list.

But it's good Kyle Chandler who should play Hal Jordan (the announcement is not yet official) in this big production entitled Lanternswhich will be derived from Warner Bros.' brand new DCUniverse, currently being set up by James Gunn.

In Lanterns, Hal Jordan will team up with another member of the Lantern Corps, John Stewart. The old legend and the young wolf will form a duo, “Two intergalactic cops are drawn into a dark mystery on Earth as they investigate a murder in the heartland of America.“teases the synopsis. A fairly dark superhero crime drama, developed by Chris Mundy (True Detective: Night Country, Ozark) And Damon Lindelof (The Leftovers, Watchmen).

Let us recall that Hal Jordan was also the version Green Lantern embodied by Ryan Reynolds at the cinema in the famous 2011 film, so criticized.

Lanterns has received an official direct-to-series order from HBO. It is expected to consist of 8 episodes and will air in France on Max. No date yet.
