While he will join Star Wars in the new Disney+ series, Jude Law will keep its feet on Earth with a new thriller at the cinema. The Order will recount the FBI's struggle to bring down a small Neo-Nazi group, raging on the American West Coast in the 1980s, determined to overthrow the federal government. The trailer which has just been released shows the English actor, mustache under his nose, ready to do battle with Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: The Beginning), who will play one of the leaders of this white supremacist movement, capable of committing bloody heists to finance his army of fanatics.
The Order is made by Justin Kurzel from a screenplay written by Zach Baylin. Also in the cast will be Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett, Alison Oliver and Marc Maron.
“For more than a year, a series of daring daylight bank robberies and armored car robberies have left law enforcement perplexed and panicked across the Pacific Northwest. attacks become increasingly violent, FBI agent Terry Husk (Law) is convinced that the thefts are the work of an American terrorist gang, which plans to use the loot to finance an armed uprising against the American government” details the official synopsis. “The film follows Husk and his team into the complex world of white supremacists as they attempt to prevent a violent uprising that could shatter the nation. As the militia builds up a war chest of more than $4 million, Husk pursues the malicious racist Bob Mathews to a bloody confrontation…”
A true story that will be told in The Order. Released in theaters from December 6, 2024 in the United States. No date yet in France.
