On November 1st, fans of film music will be spoiled. Disney+ will offer its subscribers a new documentary on John Williams.

Its trailer has just been shared by the studio and it promises to go into detail about her career, as well as her personal life, with the help of multiple interviews. Particularly from filmmakers who worked alongside him, but not only. Steven Spielberg obviously responded, after their collaborations on Jaws, ET, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List… Ditto for George Lucas, for whom he signed the original soundtracks of Star Wars andIndiana Jones. We also get a glimpse of other cult films set to music by John Williams during this trailer, such as Mom, I missed the planeFor example.

If he has recently says goodbye to the saga Star Warsannouncing that his composition of the ninth opus would be his last, Williams does not intend to retire. At 92, he still works with Steven Spielberg, who explains here that he has an excellent technique for realizing the genius of his collaborator: watching a film scene without sound, then watching it again right after with his music.
