Live-action spin-off movie from the John Wick series“From the World of John Wick: Ballerina”The US version trailer has been released.

This work is about a ballerina who first appeared in “John Wick: Parabellum” (2019) as the main character, and the story of Eve McCullough, a girl who lost her family to a killer and transforms into a killer in order to get revenge. The story takes place between Parabellum and the fourth film, John Wick: Consequence (2023).



The trailer begins with a scene in which a young girl, Eve, looks at a rotating ballerina interior object with a sad expression, and is approached by Winston, the manager of the Continental Hotel. Eve, who has blood on her face, looks like she just had her family killed, and is told, “Do you like dancing?I know of a dance school.If you'd like, I'll take you there.''

After undergoing rigorous training in boxing, martial arts, and sniping with other trainees, Eve reunites with Winston at the Continental Hotel in New York. The trailer, which consists of intense battle scenes with various situations unfolding, concludes with a man who gets off the train and says, “You're him, he's called Baba Yaga. How can I start your job?'' The scene where you ask “What?” The man is none other than John Wick, and he tells Eve, “It looks like you've already started.''

As previously predicted by Armas, the trailer is exactly what the adjectives “exciting, dangerous, and sexy” fit perfectly. Although it follows the world view of the “John Wick” series, it incorporates dance-like movements into the fight scenes, and elegant and splendid scenes where ballerinas perform ballet on stage, making it reminiscent of the original series. You can feel the bewitching and feminine tone that you don't find anywhere else.

In addition to Armas, the original series also stars Keanu Reeves as John Wick, Ian McShane as Winston, the late Lance Reddick as Sharon, and Anjelica Huston as the Director. Gabriel Byrne and Norman Reedus will also be participating. The director is Len Wiseman, who directed the Underworld series, and the script was written by Shay Hatten, who worked on John Wick: Parabellum and John Wick: Consequences, and Emerald Fennell, who worked on Promising Young Woman (2020).

The movie “Ballerina” is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 6, 2024.
