Jenna Ortega can't stand seeing retouched photos of herself on social media anymore

The Wednesday star has quit Twitter, tired of seeing biased photos of herself, retouched by Artificial Intelligence.

“I hate Artificial Intelligence.” Jenna Ortegasuperstar of Wednesday and soon in the new Beetlejuice Tim Burton, revealed in an interview with the New York Times that he left Twitter after seeing images of “explicit” of her adolescent, generated by Artificial Intelligence.

“The problem is that AI could be used for amazing things, like helping to detect breast cancer four years before it progresses. That’s wonderful. Let’s leave it at that. Did I like having to create a Twitter account at 14, because I was supposed to, and seeing dirty content edited about me as a child? No. It’s terrifying. It’s corrupt. It’s wrong.“

Jenna Ortega remembers being 12 years old when she received her first direct message from a social media follower, which included “a picture of a man's genitals… And that was just the beginning of what was to come.”

The actress admits to having maintained a Twitter account at the request of those around her, who said that she had to “build his image. But I ended up deleting it 2 years ago because of the influx of messages after Wednesday came out. All those absurd pictures and images… I was already in such a state of confusion that I deleted it. It was disgusting and it made me feel bad. It made me feel uncomfortable,” insist Jenna Ortega. “Anyway, that's why I deleted it, because I couldn't say anything on social media without seeing something like that. So one day I woke up and I was like, Okay, I don't need this anymore. So I dropped it!“
