The actor plays Zeus in this Netflix series which promises to be as funny as it is violent.

Far from the universe of Percy Jacksonthe new Netflix series Kaos revisits Greek mythology with a modern and trashy twist to make a critique of current regimes. On the impregnable Mount Olympus, the god reigns Jeff Goldblumthe unbeatable Zeus. When he wakes up one morning and discovers a wrinkle, his little self-centered world is completely turned into paranoia. Times are changing and down below, near the mortals, a plot is being prepared to overthrow the gods. Expected for the start of the school year, Kaos reveals a little more in a new trailer which promises, in addition to numerous obscenities, quite a bit of violence.

Natural disasters, pandemics, injustices… The world is doing better according to the Immortals when humans fear them. But the latter are not blind, and guided by Prometheus (Stephen Dillane) – the one who in mythology defies Zeus and steals his thunderbolt to give power to Men – they prepare a plot to destroy the almighty and his allies. Among the mortals, we find Riddy played by Aurora Perrineau (Westworld), ready to challenge the gods: “The gods, they don't give a damn about us.”

The status of the King of Olympus is threatened, as is that of Hera, his wife (Janet McTeer), Poseidon (Cliff Curtis) and Hades (David Thewlis), his brothers. And when the gods feel threatened, their anger is terrible:

“I will wipe these f***ing humans off the face of this f***ing Earth.”

Blood, hanged men, screams, and above all vulgarity, Kaos looks like hell. For Tudumthe streaming platform's communications site, the actress who plays the merciless Hera confirmed:

“The more you watch this series, the more terrified you will be. Because you will realize his power and what he is capable of, and it is so fantastic.”

Created by the screenwriter of the series PĂ©pite The End of the F***ing Worldwith its dark, sordid, dark and dramatic humor, and by the producers of the award-winning series Chernobyl, Kaos will consist of eight episodes and will be released on Netflix on August 29.
