Jean-Edouard, Loana, Alexia Laroche-Joubert and the others set the record straight.
Obviously, Worship is not a documentary. The series which recounts the creation of Loft Story in the early 2000s, on Prime Video, is not intended to depict the exact reality of what happened at the time. She would even tend to assume her part of fiction, with a total dramatization of the moment.
So today, the actors who were behind the Loft at the time all wanted to tell their truth. And most want to denounce the posture of the series which makesAlexia Laroche-Joubert (alias Isabelle de Rochechouart) the great visionary of Loft Storya brilliant and caring young producer.
Jean-Edouard (the one from the swimming pool) multiplies the videos on his Tik-Tok account that dot the i's: “At 44 years old, free as air, I found through TikTok a way to tell my own truth, the one you won't hear in the series” he said. “The character of Alexia Laroche-Joubert played by Anaïde Rozam is surprising. But Alexia Laroche-Joubert is certainly not the character she wanted to leave in the image. It's a bit like the person who buys a Labrador when it's in fashion and who, the day it takes up too much space, abandons it on a highway but assures everyone that she is a donor to the SPA or certifies that she saves lives.”
Relations between the former Lofteur and the producer are clearly not in good shape. And Jean-Edouard wishes to emphasize the essential role ofAngela Lorente in the creation of the show. Featured as the exuberant Elena Valente (played by Jacqueline Corado) In Worship, “She’s the Popess of Loft Story”, saccording to Jean-Edouard. “She was the one who followed us to the casting. She was the one who spoke to Loana in the cellar. She's the one who cut the beam…”
Angela Lorente was also interviewed this week by Le Parisien and gives her opinion on the series which she finds “well done and efficient“. But it tempers the truth of the story: “It's a fiction about power in the world of television. But it's not reality, it's a partial vision, it's not what I experienced. Isabelle de Rochechouart, this n “She's not Alexia Laroche-Joubert, and Elena Valente is not me, even if she's funny.” She thus ensures that she has “worked hand in hand” with Alexia Laroche-Joubert at the time. “We didn't always agree, we were yin and yang, but it really worked!” And she specifies: “I was editor-in-chief, not responsible for casting as has often been said or as suggested in the series. After scouting locations in Spain, I notably brought back the idea of recruiting screenwriters to edit daily shows in the style of fiction.”
Kenza Braiga also believes – via Facebook – that the version ofAlexia Laroche-Joubert presented in Worshipdoes not conform to the person she knew: “The actress who plays her is much sweeter and cuter than the real Alexia. Given that Alexia oversaw some of the filming, it's no wonder she softened her image.”
The incarnation ofAnaide Rozam is obviously very positive, since she is the protagonist of the story in the series. But Alexia-Laroche Joubert don't give up: “I think she interpreted me as I was a little more in those years.” she recently confided on Léa Salamé’s set. “I can be an asshole. But the reality is that, at the moment, I think that I am not an asshole, nor a cynic. On the other hand, when I want something, I give myself the means to do it .”
As to whether the Loana played by Marie Collomb looks like the real one Loanathe former of Loft gave his point of view in Here. And she validates, even admitting to having been very disturbed by their resemblance: “It’s too faithful in fact (laughs). You have the same face, you do the same stupid things that you would like to erase… (…) I hate her but I think she represents me well, it's difficult. She looks a lot like me. He’s my double!”
