The Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a fire at a bell tower of an old church in Avalon.The fire was reported around 10 p.m. Tuesday on California Avenue.Firefighters said the old church had been turned into a home and the fire did not extend from the bell tower to the main structure.Crews were able to quickly contain the flames.
