The Deadpool series is known for its original and extreme jokes. Fans are excited to see what kind of jokes will be revealed in the latest film, Deadpool & Wolverine, which joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The main person who comes up with the jokes in this series is Ryan Reynolds. In the latest film, he seems to be making jokes that are too subtle to be understood, as director Shawn Levy and co-star Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, confirmed to Variety.

When asked, “Were there any jokes that you couldn't find out unless you Googled them?” Hugh replied, “100% everything” He honestly answered, “Thankfully, in one long line, a character says, 'I have no idea what you're talking about,' and I was like, 'I agree!'”

Director Levy, who took the megaphone, has worked with Ryan on “Free Guy” (2021) and “Adam & Adam” (2022). Even though Director Levy has experienced the two films, which were full of unique jokes, it seems difficult to fully understand Ryan's mind.

“Ryan has the supernatural ability to invent forms of insults never before known to man. Then there are the obscure cultural references. We used to pass the laptop around to each other while we wrote. When he handed me the laptop, I'd say, 'I don't know if this is interesting because I don't understand the words.'”

On the other hand, there is a tough guy who says he understood all of Ryan's jokes. It's Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. When asked, like Hugh, “Were there any jokes that you had to Google?” Feige said, “No. That wasn't the case.“I'm an adult, so I know all the original material,” she revealed.

“There's a line in the trailer about pegging. I know what pegging is. It was in the first Deadpool movie. But some people I worked with didn't know what it was. I had to explain it to them.”

As Feige said, in the trailer for this film, Ryan's Deadpool says, “I'm used to pegging, but this is my first time at Disney.” Pegging is a play in which a man's anus is stimulated with a strap-on. I can't imagine Feige seriously explaining pegging, but this was probably Ryan's creation.

Shawn Levy previously revealed that he was asked to refrain from using drug themes in this film, but Feige said, “They didn't say no.” “Maybe they're a bit strict about drug themes,” Feige said, and even said he passed on a suggestion from Ryan, saying, “It's not that funny.”

By the way, in the trailer, there is a scene that includes the conversation with Feige about drugs. Even Feige is taken aback by this.LaIan, of course, stores everything in his head so that it can be used as a good joke later. It's been put into the script.”.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” will be screened earliest on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.
