What Daniel Cleaver will we see facing the poor girl? Bridget Jonesin the 4th opus of the saga? Hugh Grant agreed to return to play the character in Mad About the Boynot without certain conditions.

The English actor has indeed asked to reshoot some of Daniel Cleaver's scenes: “I loved the script, it made me cry and I wanted to help improve it,” he says in an interview with Vanity Fair. Actually, there's no role for Daniel Cleaver in this story at the beginning. But they (the producers) really wanted him in it. And in the end, they did something that I didn't really like…”

Hugh Grant So decided to rework the script itself: “I wrote some of Daniel's scenes in Bridget Jones 4“, he assures, specifying that they were kept in the final version.

The British comedian specializing in rom-coms is very happy with the result because for him, Bridget Jones: Mad About Him (published in 2013) “is really the best book in the series and I think it's very funny and very, very moving. I'm not in it much, I have a small role. I only shot for a week, that's all… But when you see the film, you will be very moved.”
