The film almost never saw the light of day. Salem's Lotadaptation of the horror novel Salem (from 1975) signed Stephen Kingwill be released on our small screens via the Max platform on October 3. However, initially, it was in the cinema that this version directed by Gary Dauberman (Annabelle) was supposed to see the light of day. A 2022 release was mentioned at the time, then it was postponed to 2023 after the merger of New Line and Warner Bros. studios with Discovery Inc… before being purely and simply cancelled. The film was almost thrown out like Batgirl Or Coyote vs Acme. But finally, after two years of delay, Salem will reach us. And apparently, it is partly thanks to Stephen King in person.
