“If dragons start fighting dragons, we are marching toward our own destruction.”

The fans are always there. For two weeks, Max has been broadcasting season 2 of House of the Dragon. Little recap, and new trailer to tease the rest, while waiting for the 3rd episode.

Warning, spoilers!

In #2, it was Team Green's turn to mourn the death of the heir. King Aegon then declared war and launched the hunt for the assassins, while the pawns began to advance little by little on the immense political chessboard. Among them, Ser Criston Cole knew how to do well, becoming the Hand of the King in place of Otto Hightower who had fallen into disgrace.

On the Black side, Rhaenyra has discovered that her husband, Daemon, is the mastermind behind this attack. Upset, the Prince has fled on his dragon to a destination as yet unknown? And as for the previous episode, the last minutes keep us in suspense – culminating in a heartbreaking fratricide between Arryk and Erryk, both knights belonging to the opposing camps. As Shireen Baratheon said, in episode 9 of season 5 of Game Of Thrones to present the Dance of Dragons, families are torn apart, “brothers fight brothers.”

To wait until next week, Max recently posted the trailer for the third episode online. Finally, the dragons are indeed back!

Continuing the confrontation between the twins, Rhaenys, the Queen who never was, reminds us that the origins of this conflict will eventually be forgotten. We will wage war for war's sake, for personal vengeance – that of Ser Criston Cole against Rhaenyra for example. It is he who we hear advising Aegon. “Very well, off to war then!”

If for the moment the Dance of Dragons corresponded to incidents and targeted attacks, from now on it will be a large-scale armed conflict. An army leaves King's Landing but to go where? Perhaps towards Harrenhaal, a stronghold towards which Daemon seems to have gone and intends to conquer on the back of Caraxes. Will the so-called impenetrable city fall into the hands of Daemon or Aemond and Ser Criston Cole?

If these large winged beasts were rare in the first episodes of this second season, in episode 3, spectators should see more than one: very large ones like that of Daemon or that of Baela, which we see melt in the air, and smaller ones still unhatched.

They are a major argument in the events to come. But their involvement is feared by Rhaenyra who warns us: “If dragons start fighting dragons, we are marching toward our own destruction.”

While the last two episodes ended with deaths, we can begin to wonder who will say goodbye at the end of episode 3? Baela? Rhaenys? Demon? The release is scheduled for July 1.
