The director of Last train to Busan, Yeon Sang-horeturned to Netflix for season 2 of Hellbound. After the great success of season 1 in 2021, the horrific and fantastic drama promises to be even more intense in this sequel where “the chaos grows and former convicts suddenly come back to life...” The streamer has just revealed this new trailer (below) which says it all.
What will it be about? “Jung Jinsu, founder of the New Truth religious sect, has returned after being condemned to hell for several years. Upon his return, he realizes that the disciples of his New Truth, the most extreme members of his sect, the Arrowheads, now rule society. But when Jinsu discovers that he is not the only one who has returned to the land of the living, he seeks to understand what the resurrection did to him. Is the resurrection really damnation, as the New Truth preaches, or could it be the path to true salvation?”
The cast for season 2 will include Kim Sung-cheol (as Jung Jinsu), Kim Hyun-joo (Min Hyejin) or Kim Shin-rock (Park Jungja).
Season 2 of Hellbound will be released on October 25, on Netflix
