Gladiator 2 conquered the French box office: 1.3 million admissions!

Ridley Scott's epic dethrones L'Amour ouf, which had dominated the rankings for a month.

Strength and honor for Gladiator 2 at the French box office. The continuation of Ridley Scott easily crossed the million admissions mark at the end of its first week in theaters. The epic with Paul Mescal takes first place at the French box office. Gladiator 2 currently records 1.3 million tickets sold, an even more spectacular start than the Gladiator of the year 2000. Russell Crowe's epic had then ended at 4.8 million admissions. The sequel can seriously aim for 5 million.

This is also the case of Love phew. Relegated to second place after dominating the French box office for more than a month, the film by Gilles Lellouche sees its attendance fall. But the musical epic still welcomes 400,000 new spectators for its fifth week and is approaching the 4.2 million mark. Love phew will be stronger than The Great Bath (4.25 million in 2018) and should finish above 5 million.

In the rest of the ranking, we can note the excellent performance of Juror #2 by Clint Eastwood. The legal thriller remains on the podium for its third week and passes the million admissions mark without difficulty. Mr Aznavour also remains solid, in fourth place, and today stands at almost 1.8 million spectators. The film should finish above 2 million.

On the other hand, despite a lot of buzz and excellent reviews, The Substance does not attract crowds. After two weeks, Coralie Fargeat's film barely exceeds 300,000 admissions.
