Direct sequel produced by Nisha Ganatra (Late Night), Freakier Friday now has a release date: the film will be in theaters on August 8, 2025 (in the United States and certainly in the same waters in France – the exact French date remains to be determined).

The story will revolve around adult Anna facing another chaotic body swap situation involving her mother, but also her own 14-year-old daughter named Harper. A three-body problem? “Anna now has a daughter and a future daughter-in-law. As they navigate the myriad challenges that arise when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning could indeed strike twice” announces the synopsis.

Freaker Friday will also bring Chad Michael Murray back to the cast.
