Former NFL quarterback Chad Kelly suffered a leg injury so gruesome his teammates couldn't even watch it during the Canadian Football League playoffs on Saturday.
Toronto Argonauts quarterback Kelly was playing in the team's semifinal game when he was tackled in the third quarter.
As Kelly tried to get up, he quickly noticed that his right leg was broken and he was seen trying to hold it together.

Kelly's night was obviously over after suffering this injury. He finished 11 of 22 for 182 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
The Argonauts, however, defeated the Montreal Alouettes 30-28 to advance to the Gray Cup final against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Kelly ended up suffering a fractured tibia and fibula in his right ankle after Alouettes defensive end Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund landed on his leg while Kelly was running.
Kelly released a statement Sunday evening, confirming his injuries and hoping to make a full recovery in three to six months.
“I would like to sincerely thank the doctors and medical staff at the Montreal General Hospital, as well as my family, my teammates and the team owners, for supporting me throughout this experience.” we read in Kelly's press release. “The incredible outpouring of support from our fans means the world to me, and I am truly grateful for all the messages I have received.
“I couldn't be more proud of our team for coming away with an outstanding victory, and I'm excited that we're headed to the Gray Cup. While I regret not being able to play, I have full confidence in the team and the staff for bringing the cup to its place. Thank you again for your incredible support – see you soon!
Kelly, who was “Mr. Irrelevant” as the last pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, has led the Argonauts since serving a nine-game suspension by the league for violating its gender-based violence policy .
Kelly was accused of sexual harassment in February by a former assistant coach, who is also suing the team for wrongful termination.
