For the English actor, “we saw Newt's last appearance…”
The saga Harry Potter no longer seems to be written in cinema. At least in the near future. While Warner Bros. is actively working on the casting of his new series for Max, the prequel franchise of Fantastic Beasts has clearly said his last word.
If Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore's Secrets was not supposed to be the final part, the film only grossed $405 million at the worldwide box office and indicated to the studio that it was time to call it quits. Fantastic Beasts 4 should therefore not see the light of day, which is confirmed today Eddie Redmayne in a recent interview with the ComicBook website:
“I think we probably saw the last appearance of Newt (Norbert Scamander). I know, it's a very frank answer, but yes, that's what I believe today. In any case, it's is all I know.”
The actor admits that for more details“we'd have to talk to the people at Warner Bros. and JK Rowling… But as far as I know, it's really over.”
Eddie Redmayne concludes by opening the door to a possible return of Newt. But not in a film… in an attraction!
“We might get a glimpse of what he's doing in the new Harry Potter universe at Universal in Florida that they're opening. We might get a glimpse of what he's doing in Paris …”
