Fans launch petition to try to save The Acolyte

Even Lee Jung-jae admits to being “very surprised” by Disney's expected cancellation of the Star Wars series.

So is a season 2 still possible? Apparently not, but fans are still trying by launching an online petition on change.org, to put pressure on Disney. It has already accumulated more than 20,000 signatures. The authors welcome the “diversity” of The Acolyte who was able to offer a “representation” news to some fans of Star Wars “who feel seen (…) a representation that many fans feel has been missing from the Star Wars universe for decades.” The petition also attacks the “review bombing” which the series suffered at the time of its release, which also contributed to its cancellation.
