She should appear again in about ten episodes, a year after… her farewells.

She'll certainly never be done with Meredith Grey. After saying goodbye to the Seattle staff in episode 7 of season 19, the title surgeon will still be very present in the upcoming season 21 of the medical show.

Ellen Pompeo will appear in at least 7 of the 18 episodes of this new season of Grey's Anatomyannounces Deadline, which points out that it will certainly be more! The original star – who remains the first name in the credits and the voice-over of the series – will therefore retain a regular place in the cast, contrary to what her big departure suggested. She will have a place equivalent to that of Bailey or Webber in season 21, since the historical ones still in scrubs will see their presence on screen diminish next year, to save money.

Clear, Ellen Pompeo said goodbye a year ago, but never actually left Grey's Anatomyshe who was always present in the episodes of season 10 (especially the first and the last). “She still plays a big role in the show. Our door is always open with her. When Ellen can be here, we welcome her with open arms.” justified Meg Marinis, the showrunner of Grey's Anatomyat Deadline, last March. In short, it is Ellen Pompeo who decides his time in the series from now on.

Season 21 of Grey's Anatomy will be launched in September on the American channel ABC. The series can be seen in France on TF1.
