Dumb and Dumber 3: the Farrelly brothers want to make the sequel “in 10 years”

Released in 2034, for the 40th anniversary of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne?

As they meet to Dear Santawhich is released on Paramount + during the end-of-year holidays (December 18 in France), Farrelly brothers want to return to their cult comedy: Dumb and Dumber.

The duo had already made a number 2, entitled Dumb and Dumberin 2014, before after the original released in 1994.

And they really want to bring back Jim Carrey And Jeff Daniels in the shoes of Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne.

Peter Farrelly thus reveals to Variety that he always has in the back of his mind the possibility of a Dumb and Dumber 3 : “I always take notes every time I hear something that could be a good joke for a new Dumb and Dumber. I keep a list carefully, because I can easily see us wanting to make a Dumb and Dumber 3 A day…”

His brother, Bobby Farrellygoes further and even mentions a date:

“We did number 2 for the 20th anniversary. Today, in 2024, is the 30th anniversary of Dumb and Dumber. So in 10 years, for the 40th anniversary, we might do number 3. Jim, Jeff, They’re such fun guys to work with if we’re all still in business (in 2034), then I’d love to do that!”
