Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California, was once a titan of Democratic Party politics, but she now appears to be at odds with President Biden and some House Democrats.
Biden made history by withdrawing from the Democratic Party after weeks of defections from Democratic lawmakers who implored him to step down, with reports that it was Pelosi who coordinated efforts to force him to resign. Since then, their relationship has been frosty.
After Vice President Kamala Harris' defeat, Pelosi responded by pointing the finger at Biden, saying “it would have been different” if he had dropped out sooner, saying on The New York Times podcast “The Interview”: ” If the president had come out sooner. , there may have been other candidates in the race.

An unnamed senior Democratic lawmaker responded to Pelosi by talking about what she said went wrong in the election.
“She needs to sit down,” the lawmaker told the outlet. “Making scattered comments is not only unhelpful, it’s damaging.”

“I understand it's a difficult transition for her, not being a leader, but she's not,” a member of the Congressional Black Caucus told Axios.
That same anonymous member argued that Pelosi is not giving way to her successor, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, saying, “Hakeem has been extremely gracious and respectful to her, but I don't think she respects him .”
“She needs to understand what her new role is,” the member concluded.
A spokesperson for Pelosi told Fox News Digital: “Speaker Pelosi is immensely proud of Leader Hakeem Jeffries and his masterful leadership of the House Democratic Caucus. We should all applaud the excellent progress made by House Democrats under his leadership.”
