Democrats privately complain about Pelosi's 'damaging' post-election comments: 'She needs to sit'

Axios reported, in an article titled “Scoop: House Democrats are fed up with Pelosi,” that while she “still sparks fear in the members she led for two decades,” some Democrats are “clearly frustrated that Pelosi doesn't disappear into the sunset like her. promised when she lost the hammer two years ago.”

An unnamed senior Democratic lawmaker responded to Pelosi by talking about what she said went wrong in the election.

“She needs to sit down,” the lawmaker told the outlet. “Making scattered comments is not only unhelpful, it’s damaging.”

“I understand it's a difficult transition for her, not being a leader, but she's not,” a member of the Congressional Black Caucus told Axios.

That same anonymous member argued that Pelosi is not giving way to her successor, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, saying, “Hakeem has been extremely gracious and respectful to her, but I don't think she respects him .”

“She needs to understand what her new role is,” the member concluded.
