Pittsburgh weather: Much colder with occasional snow for Thanksgiving holiday weekend

FOR NOW, EVERYTHING IS IN THE LIQUID FORM. BUT AS WE GET TO AND PAST SUNSET, THIS WILL CHANGE TO THE FROZEN FORM AND BE SOME SNOWFLAKES THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT. BIGGEST BATCH OF RAIN IS IN SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY, STRETCHING FROM ABOUT THE AIRPORT ALONG 376. THE PARKWAY WEST, AND IN FACT ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE PARKWAY EAST AS WELL. SO THROUGH ALL OF THE SOUTH HILLS FROM BRENTWOOD BACK DOWN TOWARDS JEFFERSON HILLS. BETHEL PARK SCOTT TOWNSHIP ALMOST OUT TOWARDS NORTH AND SOUTH FAYETTE TOWNSHIPS AS WELL. THIS IS DRIFTING SLOWLY OFF TOWARDS THE EAST SOUTHEAST. SO THOSE YOU DOWN ELIZABETH ELIZABETH TOWNSHIP STRETCHING OVER IN THE FAR WESTERN PARTS OF WESTMORELAND COUNTY. WE’LL BE SEEING THIS RAIN ARRIVING AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE NEXT ABOUT 20 TO 30 MINUTES OR SO. AGAIN, ONCE WE GET PAST SUNSET, THIS WILL BECOME SNOWFLAKES AND WE’LL WAKE UP WITH A FEW FLURRIES TOMORROW MORNING. HEAVIEST SNOW WILL BE NORTH OF OUR AREA. CLOSER TO LAKE ERIE AND I-90, AND WE’LL SEE A COUPLE OF PASSING FLURRIES TO A LIGHT SNOW SHOWER THROUGH THE DAY. NOTHING LOOKS TO REALLY STICK OR ACCUMULATE AND TEMPERATURES AREN’T GOING ANYWHERE AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW. THEN WE’LL SHUT OFF THE SNOW AS WE HEAD INTO YOUR SATURDAY, AND AS WE HEAD INTO THE AFTERNOON, WE WILL TRY AND BREAK UP THE CLOUD DECK THAT’S OVERHEAD AND TRY TO GET A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE, ESPECIALLY IN THE CITY, AND POINTS SOUTHWARD AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE BACK PART OF YOUR SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY. SO REALLY, THE ONLY CHANCE TO SEE SNOW IS TOMORROW. AND AGAIN, DOESN’T LOOK IMPRESSIVE. JUST A FEW FLAKES WILL FLY. KIND OF SETTING THE FESTIVE MOOD, AND THEN WE’LL DRY BACK OUT AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEKEND AND START NEXT WEEK WITH A BETTER SNOW CHANCE. NOT REALLY GETTING HERE UNTIL WE HEAD INTO YOUR WEDNESDAY. SO ALL IN ALL, NOT A BAD WEEKEND. IT’S COLD THAT 35 TOMORROW. THAT’S BEFORE SUNRISE. SUNDAY IS THE COLD START THOUGH. LOW TEMPERATURE OF 20 IN THE CITY. COLDER THAN THAT NORTH OF THE CITY IN THE TEENS. IT’S GOING TO FEEL EVEN WORSE WITH OUR WIND CHILLS. IN FACT, WIND CHILLS BECOME A BIG CONCERN. TOMORROW WE’LL WAKE UP WITH WIND CHILLS IN THE TEENS TO 20 DEGREES. AND THAT’S WHERE THEY STAY THROUGH THE DAY TOMORROW. SO IF YOU ARE HEADING OUTSIDE ON YOUR FRIDAY, JUST MAKE SURE YOU ARE BUNDLING UP. IT’S GOING TO BE COLD WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 30. WE’LL KEEP THE WINDS UP INTO YOUR SATURDAY AS WELL, SO THAT 30 IS GOING TO FEEL EVEN COLDER THAN IT ACTUALLY IS. WE ARE DRY THROUGH MONDAY. WE’LL ADD A COUPLE FLURRIES BACK TUESDAY AS WE HOLD NEAR FREEZING. BEST CHANCE OF SOME SNOWFLAKES. LOOKS TO BE WEDNESDAY AT 35. RIGHT NOW THOUGH, NOTHING REALLY STICKS. WARMEST DAY OF THE NEXT WEEK IS THURSDAY BEFORE WE COOL D
