The 94-year-old filmmaker confronts Nicholas Hoult with his conscience during a murder trial.
Is this how the legendary Clint Eastwood will say goodbye to the world? The 94-year-old director, who has still not officially announced his retirement, today presents the trailer for Juror #2 (see below), a legal thriller which will be released in theaters at the end of the month. A courtroom film, with Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: The Beginning) in the shoes of the juror faced with a case of conscience…
He will play Justin Kemp, “an ordinary family man, who finds himself a juror in a high-profile murder trial. As he faces a heartbreaking moral dilemma, Justin realizes he holds the power to influence the jury's verdict, which could either convict or free the accused.”
From what the trailer reveals, the juror in question could well be the murderer. Because on the evening of the tragedy, he hit an unidentified obstacle on the road. What if he had killed the young woman when he came home drunk? What if his violent companion, in the dock, was in fact innocent?
In the cast, we will also see Toni Collette, JK Simmons, Chris Messina, Zoey Deutch and Kiefer Sutherland.
Written by Jonathan Abrams, Juror #2 will be released on October 30 in France in cinemas.
