Here are the first images, taken between Liverpool and Birmingham.

Netflix announced it with a first official photo of Cillian Murphy And Steven Knight : the movie Peaky Blinders is currently currently filming. Launched at the very end of September, shooting has since taken place between Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds, England.

Here is a best-of of the first photos taken on set:

For the moment, no trace of the new kids played by Barry Keoghan, Rebecca Ferguson or Tim Roth, nor of Tom Hardy, who nevertheless said thathe would love to come back as Alfie. On the other hand, we have a first glimpse of Cillian Murphy in the role of the famous gangster Tommy Shelby, in costume and on horseback through the streets of his neighborhood. An echo of previous scenes in the series, the very first for example following a solitary horse in the middle of the city. Here, Tommy's clothes are covered in mud, and his face is bloody, which does not bode well for the protagonist.

In other photos, we see young members of the Peaky Blinderswith their famous cap hiding a sharp razor blade, and we can also recognize the actor Stephen Grahamwho also appeared throughout the show as Hayden Stagg. In the last season, he shared a few key scenes with Cillian Murphy on the docks, but their -illegal- affairs were not easy.

The English series dedicated to the Birmingham gang, after the First World War, ended in 2022 after six seasons.

The movie Peaky Blinders will be a direct continuation of this story, directed by Tom Harper, who had already directed several episodes of the series, from a script by Steven Knight. The creator is also visible in some photos from the shoot, chatting with his actors. He confirmed this year that this feature would be perfectly in the spirit of the episodes, and equipped with a substantial budget to complete its story as best as possible.

This project does not yet have a release date, but it should logically be offered directly in streaming, on Netflix.
