Star of Netflix's Christmas action thriller, Taron Egerton talks to us about the possibility of bringing his character back in a sequel.
Like John McClane, Ethan Kopek was in the wrong place at the wrong time. In Carry-Onthis simple security agent at the Los Angeles airport finds himself caught in a scheme bigger than him. But faced with the threatening terrorist, he does not hesitate to turn into an ordinary hero.
Netflix's Christmas action movie ostensibly plays with that spirit Die Hard. So obviously, we wanted to know if a Carry-On 2 was possible. After all, John McClane found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time more than once.
Taron Egerton first admits to us that nothing is planned: “No, I don't know… I'm already preparing for my next role (he shows us his shaved head)… Let's just say that Carry-On is a successful action film and it's not easy to make. So making a sequel would mean hoping to do as well a second time. Can lightning strike the same place a second time? I don't know…”
That being said, he does not close the door and suggests:
“If another story with Ethan is worth telling, then that would be cool. Die Hard managed to do that… So why not?”
If Ethan Kopek wants to do his John McClane all the way, then he needs to be held hostage in a skyscraper!
