More than Mahershala Alimore than Wesley Snipesnothing more. Disney has removed the reboot from its schedule Blade which was to sharpen the teeth of the Marvel Universe. The film was scheduled for release on November 7, 2025, but for months, creative development has encountered numerous obstacles and countless defections. The latest: that of the French director Yann Demange (Lovecraft Country) who left the project last June.
Mahershala Alihe has always stuck to the job of the superhero vampire. But the fantastic comeback of Wesley Snipesthis summer, in Deadpool & Wolverinedidn't help. So the studio preferred to say stop. The movie Blade of the MCU is not yet officially canceled. But it is no longer in development a priori.
Disney has resumed the date of November 7, 2025 to release Predator: Badlandsthe sixth film in the supernatural horror franchise, starring Elle Fanning, in theaters.
Note that Marvel has added three release dates to the studio's schedule for the year 2028. Three films from MCU will be released on February 18, 2028, May 5, 2028 and November 10, 2028 and will certainly complete phase VII, post-Avengers: Secret Wars. One of these slots could thus be reserved for Bladeif the pause in preproduction allows the project to be restarted.
