President Biden went viral Tuesday night for his comments bashing Trump supporters as his No. 2, Vice President Kamala Harris, delivered a major speech to voters calling for unity from the Ellipse right outside the House White.

During a virtual Harris campaign call with Voto Latino, Biden attacked former President Trump's rally at Madison Square Garden, which made headlines after insult comedian Tony Hinchiffe made jokes mocking different ethnic groups, a joke referring to Puerto Rico as a “float”. an island of garbage.”

“The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters,” Biden said. “[Trump’s] The demonization of Latinos is unacceptable and un-American. »

The comment quickly went viral and drew swift condemnation from critics.

“It’s disgusting,” responded Republican vice-presidential candidate JD Vance. “Kamala Harris and her boss Joe Biden are attacking half the country. There is no excuse for this. I hope Americans reject it.”

“Kamala Harris was deeply outraged by a comedian's joke. If she has any decency or integrity, she will condemn her partner Joe Biden's despicable statement calling half the country trash,” the senator said Tom Cotton, R-Ark.

“Woof. He's calling half the country 'trash' while Harris speaks,” said CNN contributor Scott Jennings.

“Well, there he is. So outraged by Tony the Comedian that the sitting president is borrowing the term trash and applying it to half of America. I imagine the cable news networks will be talking about it tomorrow , right?” asked Josh Holmes, co-host of the Ruthless podcast.

“It's just incredible that Biden managed to completely trample Kamala's speech in the worst way possible,” said Fox News contributor Joe Concha.

“Shades of deplorable for Hillary… I repeat: lots of 2016 vibes in this election,” wrote Josh Kraushaar, editor-in-chief of Jewish Insider.

“If you're wondering why Biden wasn't at the rally Kamala Harris just held outside her home,” joked Business Insider reporter Bryan Metzger.

Trump himself responded to the “terrible” comment during a speech at a rally in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

“Remember Hillary? She said 'deplorable', then 'irredeemable', right? But she said 'deplorable'. It didn't work, I think 'garbage' is worse,” Trump told his supporters. “But he doesn't know – you must please forgive him. Please forgive him. Because he doesn't know what he said.”

“And I’m convinced he loves me more than Kamala,” Trump joked.

Former President Trump criticized President Biden's comment by calling out his supporters "garbage," saying that it is "worse" that Hillary Clinton's famous speech "basket of deplorables" remarked in 2016.

A White House spokesperson told Fox News: “The president called the hateful rhetoric at the Madison Square Garden rally 'rubbish.' » The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Biden's comment stands in stark contrast to the message Harris delivered to voters in what many called her final sales pitch to the American people before the election.

“I am committed to seeking common ground and common sense solutions to improve your life. I am not seeking to score political points. I am seeking progress. I am committed to listening to the experts, those who will affected by the decisions I make and to people who disagree with me,” Harris said. “Unlike Donald Trump, I don't believe those who disagree with me are the enemy. He wants to put them in jail. I will give them a seat at the table.”
