“It was really important to her. She auditioned over and over again and really wanted the role. Things ultimately didn't go her way.”

Before becoming part of this new generation of rising Hollywood stars, Zendaya began her career on the small screen alongside the most famous mouse, Mickey Mouse. Just like Ryan Gosling, Selena Gomez and Zac Efron (with whom she plays in The Greatest Showman), the actress is a Disney Channel kid.

Between 2010 and 2013, she played the main role alongside Bella Thorne in the series Shake It Up. This allows her to show viewers her dancing and singing skills. Later, she becomes a secret agent in the series Agent KC Although in hindsight this was his last role on the children's channel, things could have turned out differently.
