The Chicago Bears were stunned when Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels threw an incredible last-second Hail Mary pass to win their game on Sunday.

What was even crazier was what Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson was doing seconds before the game started. A video on social media showed Stevenson taunting Commanders fans in the final moments of the game.

Daniels threw the ball down the field to a group of people and the Bears defenders failed to cover the backfield. Noah Brown was left alone in the end zone, and when the ball was knocked down, he recovered it for the 18-15 victory.

“To Chicago and his teammates, my apologies for the lack of awareness and concentration…. The game is not over until the clock hits zero. I can't take anything for granted,” he later wrote Stevenson on X. “Notes taken, improvements will occur.”

Bears head coach Matt Eberflaus gave the final speech in the post-game press conference.

“It comes down to this last play, and we've practiced this play a hundred times since we've been here,” he said via ESPN. “I'll have to look at what the execution was on that, but we have body on body, boxing guys out like basketball at the very end.

“We have a guy near the rim who drops the ball. We have a guy who goes behind the pile. I have to look at him and break him down and make sure we're better next time.”

The Bears offense mostly cracked throughout the game.

Caleb Williams was 10 of 24 with 131 passing yards and a QB rating of 59.5.

D'Andre Swift kept the team in the game with a 56-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Then, Roschon Johnson gave the team the lead with 25 seconds left on a 1-yard run. The Bears made a 2-point conversion to go up by three points.
