Bac Nord director reunites with Gilles Lellouche for a dystopian thriller

Cédric Jimenez has started filming Chien 51, also starring Adèle Exarchopoulos.

He never stops exploring the thriller in all its forms: after the hard-hitting North Bac and the very realistic November, Cedric Jimenez takes us into the future with the adaptation Dog 51a novel by Laurent Gaudé (2022) set in Paris in the year 2045, divided into zones separating the different social classes. An artificial intelligence called Alma is in charge of surveillance. An investigator and a police officer will be forced to work together to solve the assassination of Alma's inventor. “Their investigation will soon reveal deeper layers of conspiracy that force them to question their own allegiances and the true nature of the authority that governs the country.” reveals the official synopsis.

Cedric Jimenez therefore launches into dystopian thriller, not to say science fiction.

He will find two of his stars in the cast North Bacnamely Gilles Lellouche And Adele Exarchopoulos.

Louis Garrel, Xavier Dolan, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi, Artus, Lala & this, Hugo Dillon, Stephane Bak, Daphne Patakia and finally Agathe Mougin will complete the distribution.

Produced by Hugo Sélignac for Chi-Fou-Mi Productions (Mediawan), the film is currently being filmed until December 18. A release date has been set for October 15, 2025 in theaters.
