Taylor Kitsch sets out to conquer the West in this brutal and hyper-realistic mini-series, written by the screenwriter of The Revenant.

Netflix will start 2025 by taking us back two centuries. On January 9, the platform will broadcast a great Wild West epic entitled At the dawn of America. A mini-series in 6 episodes, which will take us back to the America of 1857, wild and brutal.

The screenwriter of The Revenant (2015) Mark L. Smith wrote the script. And it is Peter Bergcreator of Friday Night Lights and director of Hancock (2010), Blood and tears (2013) or Deepwater (2016), which directs the entirety of this scathing western, with gray and dark imagery, as revealed in the official trailer (below) posted online by Netflix today. The filmmaker finds himself in the casting Taylor Kitschwhich he had already directed in the big SF film Battleship. He will play an accompanying gunslinger Betty Gilpinset off on an adventure in the American West to find her husband.
