The (almost) true story of lying too far will soon be available on Netflix.
After releasing a teaser last November, Netflix finally reveals the full trailer for its new series with Kaitlyn Dever (The Last of Us) in the role of Beautiful Gibson. During the early days of Instagram, this influencer claimed to have cancer, while claiming to control it through her diet. Belle's popularity, based on this grave lie, led to the downfall of this wellness empire.
In the trailer, Beautiful encounter Milla Blakea blogger who actually suffers from cancer, played by Alycia Debnam Carey (The 100 And Fear the Walking Dead). The two women then become rivals and try to destroy each other's reputations.
Created by Samantha Strauss, Australian screenwriter known for the TV series Dance Academy, Apple Cider Vinegar is directly inspired by the novel by Beau Donnelly and Nick Toscano, “The Woman Who Fooled The World”. Australian actress and singer Aisha Dee (The Bold Type) completes the cast.
Available only on Netflix on February 6.
