The Oscar winner will play King Herod in his deadly hunt for the newborn…
The Virgin Married like you've never seen her before. Noah Cohen embodies Mary of Nazareth, who, after miraculously giving birth to the son of God, must hide with Joseph (Ido Tako) in this new adaptation of the Bible, but through a feminine prism and in a realistic tone, as evidenced by the trailer (below). Anthony Hopkins will be the villain, the terrible King Herod, who was told of the birth in Bethlehem of the “king of the Jews” and who ordered the killing of all male children under 2 years old…
“Through the eyes of Mary, this biblical learning epic tells the story of one of history's most influential figures, and the remarkable journey that led to the birth of Jesus. Chosen to bring into the world the Messiah, Mary (Noa Cohen) is rejected following a miraculous conception and forced into hiding when King Herod (Anthony Hopkins) orders the murderous hunt of his newborn, Mary and Joseph (Ido Tako), bound by faith and driven by courage, decide to flee to save the child's life at all costs” details the synospsis.
Directed by DJ Caruso (Paranoid, Number Four), Married will be available to stream on Netflix on December 6, 2024.
