John Crowley's romantic comedy We Live in Time will be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival.

“The paths of Almut (Florence Pugh) and Tobias (Andrew Garfield) cross paths in a surprise encounter that changes their lives. As they embark on a path challenged by the limitations of time, they learn to cherish every moment of the unconventional road their love story has taken, in this deeply moving romance that spans a decade.”

Heir – in his own way – toEternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, We Live in Time explores the twists and turns of a couple, their memories, the obstacles they face, in a sort of race against time that, paradoxically, takes time to develop. A concentrate of almost numb nostalgia, and yet imbued with an obvious humor, the film by John Crowley is revealed in a very recent trailer:

This year and after The goldfinchhe returns with this romance of which Benedict Cumberbatch is one of the executive producers, and stars Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield.

This is the first time that the two British actors have crossed paths, as the hero of The Amazing Spider-Man find the one who directed it (and revealed it to the general public) in Boy Aa drama set against a backdrop of social rehabilitation: he played a young man who had just been released from prison for a crime committed when he was just a child.

They are joined in the distribution by Adam James, Marama Corlett, Aoife Hinds, Grace Molony, Nikhil Parmar And Heather Craney.

Before being released in theaters on October 11 in the United States and January 25 in France, We Live in Time will be making a stop at the Toronto International Festival next September for a special screening.
