Jeffrey Wright will take over the role played by Jean-Pierre Darroussin in the original version.

The casting of The Agency is starting to feel bad. After Michael Fassbender in Malotru, or rather “The Martian”, the American remake of Legends Office just cast Jeffrey Wright.

The actor of Westworld And James Bond will play Henry, director of operations and mentor of the Martian. “Jeffrey Wright doesn't just portray characters – he completely inhabits them, infusing each role with raw emotional power and deep psychological insight.e”, the Paramount press release enthuses.

We therefore understand that it will be the US counterpart of Jean-Pierre Darroussinwho played Henri Duflot, the head of DGSE operations in The Bureau of Legends.

This adaptation is described as a political spy thriller centering on a covert CIA agent ordered to abandon his life undercover and return to the London base. A synopsis already exists and also mentions a love story: “When the love he left behind resurfaces, romance is rekindled. His career, his true identity, and his mission clash with her heart, plunging them both into a deadly game of intrigue and international espionage.” We will remember that the first seasons of Bureau of Legends were largely devoted to Malotru's passion for Nadia El Mansour, which was incompatible with his job.

Production is underway in London. George Clooney And Grant Heslov (Argo) are the executive producers.

No release date yet.
