A24 has therefore partnered with Joya Studio to offer multisensory screenings in a few cinemas on the Alamo Drafthouse circuit across the United States. The immersive cinematic experience will take place during preview screenings on October 30. This blueberry aroma will be activated in Alamo theaters using Joya Studio's atomization technology, which uses cold air diffusion to disperse scent molecules as fine, dry air without the use of heat, water or alcohol.

The directors of HereticScott Beck and Bryan Woods, validate in a press release: “Blueberry pie in Heretic is activated by Mr. Reed as a metaphor for blind faith and a disturbing reminder that he always questions everything. When we were told about this bold idea of resurrecting the multi-sensory experience to emphasize this crucial sequence, it made us howl with laughter. We are delighted that audiences will have this unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of the film.”

Unfortunately, the blueberry experience is not yet planned for French theaters. Note that “Odorama” cards to be scratched by spectators will also be distributed in certain American cinemas, which will not have this immersive device. So why not in France?

Heretic will be released on November 27 in theaters in France.
