“Whitney Houston I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY” revival screening scheduled for February 7th

It has been decided that the movie “Whitney Houston I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY'', which depicts the life of world-famous songstress Whitney Houston, will be screened in a revival for one week from Friday, February 7, 2025.

The untold story behind the birth of the famous song, drawn by the screenwriter of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” is once again brought to the screen.

Whitney Houston, the songstress who captivated the world with her beautiful and powerful singing voice, passed away on February 11, 2012 at the age of 48. Thirteen years after her death, her film “Whitney Houston I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY'' is coming back to the big screen.

Whitney Houston, a singer and actor, and Clive Davis, a famous music producer, are two geniuses who created “greatest songs” that are not bound by any genre. These two outstanding talents continue to release numerous hit songs and captivate the world.



The film was written by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Anthony McCarten (Bohemian Rhapsody) and was made into a film in 2022, 10 years after Whitney's death. Whitney will be played by Naomi Ackie of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The role of Clive will be played by talented actor Stanley Tucci.

The spectacular stage performance will once again be performed on the second screen and with loud sound. “Whitney Houston I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY” will be revived for a week only from Friday, February 7, 2025 at TOHO Cinemas Hibiya, 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku, and TOHO Cinemas Umeda.
