Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a school bus in Plum Borough, Allegheny County Tuesday afternoon. Sky 4, Pittsburgh’s only news helicopter, was over the scene along Golden Mile Highway (Route 286) and North Duane Drive.Aerial video showed at least four vehicles involved in the crash, including a school bus. Two of the cars were off the road, with one vehicle overturned onto its side.Allegheny County dispatchers tell Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 at least four people were taken to the hospital. Following the incident, the Plum Borough School District released a statement, saying in part:”Earlier this afternoon, one of our school busses was involved in a minor accident during routine afternoon transportation.””Plum EMS responded promptly to assist and evaluate all student passengers and our driver. Out of an abundance of caution, two students were transported to the hospital in the custody of their parents for further evaluation.”There are no injuries reported at this time and the district has communicated directly with each one the families of all student passengers.”The school district said a replacement vehicle was called to the scene and transported all students home safely.
