Colorado suspect wanted in botched bank robbery after handing illegible teller note

A Colorado man allegedly attempted to rob a bank but walked away with nothing after delivering a message to a teller who was unable to decipher what he had written, police say.

The incident happened shortly before 5 p.m. on Dec. 17 at the First National Bank, 750 North Lincoln Ave. in Loveland, Colorado, according to the Loveland Police Department.

Police said the man entered the bank and handed the teller a note.

The cashier, however, had difficulty reading the note because it was allegedly almost completely illegible, according to CBS Colorado.

The man reportedly became frustrated as the teller had trouble reading the bill, so he quickly left the bank, the outlet noted.

Police are still searching for the suspect.

The man was captured on surveillance footage wearing a brown hoodie, green pants, a green baseball cap, sunglasses and brown gloves.
