Waiting for the trailer for Dany Boyle's new horror film.

“Britain has lived for 28 years under the yoke of a terrible epidemic that infects people and turns them into rabid humans. A few groups of uninfected people remain. The story focuses on a young boy who seeks a doctor to help his mother dying.”

After a pitch and its official casting, Sony has just revealed the first poster of 28 Years Laterthe 3rd opus of the horrific saga 28 days later. Produced like the first part by Danny Boyle from a scenario ofAlex Garlandthe film will follow Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson And Ralph Fiennes In new roles.

“Time has not healed anything”laughs the catchphrase. The epidemic which has zombified millions of inhabitants is still visibly causing damage… the logo of this first poster is thus formed by the numerous skulls of its new victims. Visually, this poster is perfectly in line with its predecessors. Here it is attached to those of 28 Days And 28 weeks later (directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, in 2007):

Sony

Surprise ! There is no trace of Cillian Murphy on this new visual. The director had however announced his reunion with the actor from the original film, released in cinemas in 2003. Boyle had explained that the actor ofOppenheimer and of Peaky Blinders would be present, but in a way “surprising”. Will we see it in the trailer? This kind of poster is generally followed by a trailer, so be patient…

This poster in any case emphasizes one element: the film will be released exclusively in cinemas. When exactly? It is simply written here “Soon”but Sony France has already dated it to June 18, 2025. Two sequels should followincluding one directed by Nia Dacosta (Boogyman, The Marvels).
