A liberal New York Times columnist has once again handed her Thanksgiving op-ed to her Trump-loving brother, with one condition: no rejoicing.
“My brother is doing the Trump dance,” opinion columnist Maureen Dowd headlined Thursday. She insisted that amid skepticism from critics, her brother Kevin is real.
Kevin began his article by pointing out that, despite years of calling President-elect Trump a racist, a dictator and Hitler, Democrats are spending the holiday season “eating a giant portion of crow.”
“Somehow this racist dictator has managed to bring together a new coalition of black, Hispanic, middle-class and working-class voters,” he wrote. “Maybe it’s because no one wants to live in the kind of country created by the Biden-Harris administration and its left-wing comrades.”

Noting concerns about Trump's involvement on January 6, Kevin said the ensuing “legal war” against the president-elect only strengthened his support.
He cited Jeff Bezos, the owner of the Washington Post, who warned against distrusting the media. Kevin claimed that “extremely biased” media coverage of Trump, in addition to Vice President Kamala Harris' failure to attend Joe Rogan's podcast, was a significant factor in the election.
“Some of the same Democrats who tried to tell us Biden wasn't in decline then tried to tell us Harris was an exciting, transformative force. Please,” Kevin wrote.
He also gave advice to Trump, urging him to avoid getting bogged down in “petty arguments and perceived slights” that could hamper his presidency.
NYT ADVICE COLUMN REFLECTS ON HOW DEMOCRATS SHOULD TREAT MEMBERS OF THE TRUMP-SUPPORTING FAMILY
The guest columnist called on Trump to close the border, remove unnecessary regulations, end the “war on fossil fuels” and rescind mandates for electric vehicles during his term.
“No matter how infuriating Trump can be, the country needs him,” Kevin wrote. “The wind is truly at his back. The election was decided not only by MAGA rally attendees, but by millions of voters who were simply fed up.”
Kevin ended the article by promising that he would teach his sister the “Trump Shuffle.”
“As I enter my twilight years. I want to thank Trump for allowing me to return to safe and sound sleep,” he concluded.
