Israel is reportedly moving toward a ceasefire deal with Hezbollah in Lebanon after nearly a year of fighting that escalated into all-out war in September.

Israeli media outlets, including YNET and Haaretz, reported that Israel had tentatively agreed to a U.S.-backed ceasefire proposal. No final agreement has been reached, according to reports.

Lebanon and the Hezbollah militia reportedly agreed to the deal last week, but both sides must give final approval before it can come to fruition.

The announced ceasefire agreement comes after Hezbollah launched one of its largest rocket attacks against Israel in exchange for strikes by Israeli forces on Hezbollah command centers in Beirut.
