Still not close to retirement, Danny DeVito continues to play in particular in the series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Moreover, he will reprise the role of Frank Reynolds next year, in season 17, and all his friends in the cast did not fail to pay tribute to him, on the networks, for his birthday:
“This man was born 80 years ago and he could still drink you to bed!” samuses the creator and actor Rob McElhenney. “He will always make you laugh harder than anyone and will make you feel like you are unique in the world. He will always give you the best advice and make you feel loved. It's an American treasure. There is only one Danny DeVito. So happy birthday!”

Danny DeVito had recently given an interview to Première about his career, looking back on all his legendary roles. And he admitted to having no regrets:
“What a shame. Honestly, what could I complain about? I took each film, each project as it came. Step by step. A career is no different from a life. You never really know, but the abyss is potentially there, in front of you… and you still move forward. There is no hole? So much the better.
