Pittsburgh Public Safety is alerting residents of a scam targeting lost pets. In a post on X Tuesday, the Pittsburgh organization said it has “received several complaints of someone falsely identifying themselves as an Animal Care & Control employee,” asking those who answer for cash in return for lost pets. The post said Animal Care & Control officers would not call to ask for money and told those who receive a call like this to reach out to local police.
