The first and second volumes of “Star Wars Padawan'', a novel depicting Obi-Wan Kenobi's childhood in “Star Wars'', will be released on January 16, 2025. Pre-order sales have started.

Was he really not cut out to be a Jedi? This novel will be released in the US in July 2022, and Japanese fans have long been eagerly awaiting publication of a Japanese translation.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a young 16-year-old who has recently become Qui-Gon Jinn's apprentice (padawan). In the familiar film series, Obi-Wan plays a major role in the Skywalker Saga as a great Jedi, but as a new Padawan, he desperately wants to be recognized by his master, but lacks confidence in himself. He was a life-sized teenager who was troubled and worried about his future.

This book is a youth adventure novel in which Obi-Wan learns about independence, coexistence, and balance with the Force through interactions and adventures with young people of the same generation that he meets on a planet he visits on a mission.

A must-read young adult novel for fans, where you can meet Obi-Wan Kenobi like no one has ever seen before. The cover is a Japan-only original drawn by popular artist 5 Health.

“Star Wars Padawan” volumes two will be released on January 16, 2025. Pre-orders are now being accepted at bookstores and online shops nationwide.
