16-year-old killed after vehicle strikes tree in Beaver County

One person is dead, and two others were injured after a crash in Beaver County Friday night. First responders and Pennsylvania State Police were called to the 600 block of Harpers Ferry Road in North Sewickley around 10:30 p.m. after reports of a single vehicle accident. State officials said the driver of the vehicle had driven off the road and reportedly hit a tree. The front seat passenger, known to be a 16-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and rear seat passenger were both taken to UPMC Children’s Hospital for treatment, police said. State police are investigating.
