The film Waltzing with Brando will tell the story of how the cult actor from The Godfather went into exile on a small island of Tahiti.
No, this is not an image taken from the Godfather. It is Billy Zanemade up in Marlon Brandonon the set of Coppola's cult film!
The transformation is impressive, in the official trailer for Waltzing with Brandowhich puts the former villain of Titanic in the shoes of the Oscar-winning actor, during the 1970s. Almost unrecognizable, he plays Marlon Brando in the second part of his career, then tired of Hollywood and instead determined to build an ecologically perfect refuge on a small island of Tahiti. The story takes place between 1969 and 1974, at the time of the filming of Godfather and of Last Tango in Paris. While he was preparing these masterpieces of the 7th art, the iconoclastic actor was making plans with an architect to create a strange, heavenly place in the Pacific.
The film will also bring together Jon Heder, Richard Dreyfuss and Tia Carrere.
Waltzing with Brando is written and directed by Bill Fishman. Cinema release in 2025.
